There are some really great activities to do in and around Siracusa if you're keen to enjoy your Sicilian 'pasta and gelato' holiday experience but are also conscious of your health and body...
Siracusa offers the possibility of a range of sports, cycling or hiking trails. From water sports, as one would expect from a costal town, to golf, riding, flying, trekking, horse riding and canoeing.
Our particularly mild climate makes outdoor activities possible even in the late autumn and early spring. Look out for the brown tourist guide signs for 'Nature Reserves' dotted along the roads. Parking is not always well thought out and neither are the roads to get to places but if you prefer to go off the beaten track then do your research prior to heading off. There are an abundance of passionate bi and multi lingual tourist guides also just waiting to show you around so please do ask a member of the Hotel Algila or Hotel Antico Roma 1880 reception team who will put you in the right direction for all your leisure needs.
